Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our PHP provides a high level of clinical structure without overnight stays. Clients attend programming at our facility 5 days per week for 25 to 30 hours of therapy, including individual sessions, group therapy, psychiatric consultations, and life skills training. PHP typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks and serves as an effective bridge between residential care and lower levels of outpatient treatment.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The IOP at MNDA Recovery meets 3 to 5 days per week for 9 to 15 hours of weekly programming. Over the course of 8 to 12 weeks, clients participate in group therapy, individual counseling, relapse prevention education, and 12-step integration. IOP is designed for clients who need substantial support while maintaining work, school, or family responsibilities.
Standard Outpatient Program
Our standard outpatient program provides ongoing individual counseling and check-in sessions 1 to 2 times per week. This level of care is designed for clients who have completed higher levels of treatment and are transitioning back to independent daily life while maintaining their recovery momentum through continued clinical support.
Step-Down Care Model
MNDA Recovery follows a step-down model of care, gradually decreasing the intensity of treatment as clients build confidence and recovery skills. Clients typically transition from detox to residential, then to PHP, IOP, and finally standard outpatient—ensuring continuous support at every stage. Our clinical team closely monitors progress and adjusts treatment intensity based on individual needs.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Integrated CareMany individuals struggling with addiction also experience co-occurring mental health conditions. At MNDA Recovery, we believe that lasting recovery requires treating both disorders simultaneously. Our dual diagnosis program integrates psychiatric care with substance abuse treatment, ensuring that neither condition is overlooked or under-treated.
Co-Occurring Conditions We Treat
Depression
Major depressive disorder and persistent depressive disorder frequently co-occur with substance use. Our clinicians address both the emotional and chemical dimensions of depression in recovery.
Anxiety Disorders
Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder are common among those with addiction. We use CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions to reduce anxiety while addressing substance use.
PTSD & Trauma
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and unresolved trauma are among the most common drivers of addiction. Our trauma-informed approach creates a safe therapeutic environment for healing.
Bipolar Disorder
Mood instability and impulsive behavior associated with bipolar disorder require careful psychiatric management alongside addiction treatment. Our team coordinates medication and therapy accordingly.
Our Integrated Approach
MNDA Recovery's dual diagnosis program combines psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual psychotherapy, and specialized group therapy to address the complex interplay between mental health and addiction. Our licensed psychiatrists and therapists work together to develop treatment plans that account for how each condition affects the other. By treating both simultaneously under one roof at our West Covina facility, we help clients achieve more stable, sustainable recovery outcomes.
Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for identifying and restructuring negative thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, trauma-focused therapy for processing past experiences, and family therapy to rebuild support systems damaged by addiction and mental illness.
